Sorry for the late post, this time, but I'm here to present you our representative for the letter C! The name, in French, indicates the restaurant serves pork, but also some fish and, if I remember correctly, some beef. This time, the restaurant costed a bit more, but the delicious factor was up there. With a peculiar setting and the bistro-type tables, it's pretty much impossible to not enjoy your time there. Service was top notch as well, as the waiter we got was available for any questions and suggestions. I took a plate of ribs, which was pretty big, with some delectable parmesan fried fries. Miam!

All in all, it was a little costlier than usual, but it was worth it. I suggest this place for anyone who wants to have some quality time with friends around some good food.

B for Big in Japan!

Name: Big in Japan
Type: Japanese fast-food
Location: 3723 St-Laurent

So this restaurant was suggested by a friend that had actually never went himself. First of all, you actually need to be 8 to makes a reservation at this place, which made up hope they would have enough place. Fortunately, it was the case and we managed to sit by the window by combining a few tables. When everyone got there, we started to look at the menu, only to discover, from the waiter, that the day's specialty was beef tongue. Food was in general pretty good and some friends, which are in a relationship, actually ate for a total of 22$. I was also very excited to try out the Onigiris, because this restaurant is one of the only places, if not the only one, to serve them in town. and I was really eager to taste some. The only real problem with this restaurant was the service, which was awful, since we managed to get ignored and not receive our dishes at the same time. Once again, none of us took neither alcohol nor dessert, but the prices seemed reasonable enough.

All in all, it was a good restaurant, but I still wouldn't go each week.

A for Arlequino!

Name: Arlequino
Type: Pizzeria
Location: 1218 Drummond

I found our first restaurant online. It seemed like a nice place, not too costly, but with yet a very interesting menu. The restaurant itself looks really nice, with two massive wine cellars on both sides of the small stairway leading up to the main area. A giant chalkboard actually lists all of the wines and their locations in the cellars. The food was surprisingly good. I was kind of expecting some regular pizza, but I was instead hit with different types of gourmet pizza, ranging from savage mushrooms to crab meat in delicious cognac infused pink sauce. The appetizer we took, fried calamari, was also to die for. We were so full that we didn't get to try the desserts, sorry!

Even though we split the appetizer in four, it cost me a total of 32$ (tips and taxes included) for a delicious meal I'd recommend for anyone. This was a brilliant start to my project.

Welcome to my blog!

First of all, thank you for coming around! This is a project that erupted in my head after watching too much of the Food Network. I contacted all my friends and set this up with them. Each Thursday, we'll go out and try a new restaurant we don't know about.

This gives place to nice dinners with friends coupled with the discovery of new places to eat, or nom.
